STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Assess an animal`s daily condition (I)
II. Observe animal behaviors ¿ normal and abnormal (I)
III. Identify the basic dietary and exhibit needs of an animal and apply husbandry skills to the direct care of animals through cleaning, diet preparation, and enrichment (II)
IV. Research dietary or exhibitry improvements available for incorporation and understand limitations (II, III)
V. Observe and assist in other aspects of animal care including veterinary care (IV)
