Course Description: | Incorporates topics learned in exhibit design, conservation and horticulture. This course combines in class pre and post trip debriefings along with a 5 day multi-zoo field experience. Provides students with the opportunity to visit ¿world class¿ zoos that have not been researched or studied in their core classes. It expands the students knowledge and exposes them to a diverse culture of zoos. Looking at zoos in different biomes creates more options to consider for their zookeeping career. |

REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Identify signage styles and materials used to fabricate interpretive signs
2. Document observations through journal writing
3. Explore education centers that are an AZA requirement of all zoos and be able to present information found through group discussions
4. Compare and contrast a variety of diverse and unique zoo environments
5. Network for future educational and internship opportunities
