 REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
 1.  Demonstrate the ability to weld a groove weld in the 2G (horizontal) position using .250 plate weld joint will be an open root.  Root pass E-6010, fill and cover E-7018.  Bend to D1.1.00.
 2.  Demonstrate the ability to weld a groove weld in the 3GU (vertical) position using .250 plate.  Weld joint will be an open root.  Root pass E-6010, fill and cover E-7018.  Bend to D1.1.00.
 3.  Pad a pipe in the horizontal position electrode E-7018.  Ten passes.
 4.  Pad a pipe in the horizontal position electrode E-6010.  Ten passes.
 5.  2G pipe root E-6010.  Fill and cover E-7018.  Visual inspection.
 6.  5G pipe root E-6010.  Fill and cover E-7018.  Visual inspection.
 7.  5G pipe root E-6010.  Fill and cover E-7018.  Bend to a D1.1.00 specification.


 REQUIRED TOPICAL OUTLINE:
 I.    Perform welds on V-grooves 2G, and 3G using E-6010 and E-7018.
 II.    Prepare weld coupons for destructive testing per AWS D1.1.
 III.    Perform pudding or depositing beads parallel to each other on pipe, on 2G using E-6010 and E-7018.
 IV.    Perform visual inspection on 2G pipe root using E-6010. Fill/cover E-7018.
 V.    Perform visual inspection on 5G pipe root E-6010. Fill & cover E-7018.
 VI.    Perform visual inspection on 5G root E-6010. Fill & cover E-7018. bend to D1.1 spec.
