REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Follow shop safety practices.
2. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
3. Follow guidelines prescribed in course progress chart.
4. Perform safety inspections on oxygen, acetylene and arc welding equipment.
5. Perform safety inspections on shop metal processing equipment.
6. Generate shop drawing/blueprint.
7. Generate bill of materials.
8. Fabricate project using oaw, gtaw, gmaw or smaw.
9. Fabricate scrolls and twist using anvil.
10. Use proper layout techniques.
11. Use proper tools for material processing and layout.
12. Inspect finished project per original drawing/blueprint.
13. Identify surface discontinuities and suggest corrective measures.
14. Perform minor troubleshooting on arc welding equipment.
15. Interpret weld symbols.
16. Do assigned course book work.
