 REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
 1.  Follow shop safety practices.
 2.  Maintain a clean, safe work area.
 3.  Prepare assigned records.
 4.  Follow assigned instructions to complete work assignments.
 5.  Participate in assigned fabrication projects.
 6.  Perform safety inspections on GMAW equipment.
 7.  Make minor external repairs as necessary to GMAW equipment.
 8.  Set up for GMAW operations on plain carbon steel.
 9.  Operate GMAW welding equipment.
 10.  Make fillet welds, all positions on plain carbon steel utilizing short circuit transfer.
 11.  Make groove welds, all positions utilizing short circuit transfer.
 12.  Make 1F and 2F welds on plain carbon steel utilizing spray transfer.
 13.  Examine tack and completed welds.
 14.  Execute corrective actions to repair surface flaws on welds and base metals.
 15.  Recognize fundamental principles of the GMAW process.
 16.  Explain fundamental principles of the GMAW process.
 17.  Recognize fundamental principles related to welding metallurgy.
