REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Demonstrate safety inspections on FCAW equipment.
2. Demonstrate the ability to properly set up and shut down FCAW equipment.
3. Make use of FCAW-S operations utilizing various positions and joint designs.
4. Create fillet welds in the horizontal position.
5. Create fillet welds in the vertical position.
6. Create fillet welds in the overhead position.
7. Create groove welds in the horizontal position.
8. Create groove welds in the vertical position.
9. Create groove welds in the overhead position.
10. Inspect weldments.
11. Identify discontinuities on welds and base metals.
12. Explain fundamental principles of the FCAW-S process.
