  Course Description:Teaches the skills necessary to perform safety insepctions, make minor repairs, adjust operating parameters, operate oxyacetylene welding equipment, and perform oxyacetylene welding, brazing, and soldering operations.

 REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
 1.  Follow shop safety practices.
 2.  Maintain a clean, safe work area.
 3.  Prepare assigned records, Follow assigned instructions to complete work assignments.
 4.  Perform safety inspections on oxyacetylene equipment.
 5.  Set up for oxyacetylene welding, brazing, and soldering operations.
 6.  Operate oxyacetylene welding equipment.
 7.  Make fillet, lap and butt welds on plain carbon steel in all positions.
 8.  Perform brazing operations on plain carbon steel in the flat and vertical positions.
 9.  Perform soldering operations of rigid copper tubing.
 10.  Examine tack and completed welds.
 11.  Execute corrective actions to repair surface flaws on welds and base metals.
 12.  Recognize fundamental principles of the oxyacetylene joining processes covered.
