REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Identify tools and equipment for the specific upholstery job.
2. Remove old covering with stripping tools.
3. Measure furniture and order material.
4. Examine and repair furniture frames and spring units.
5. Layout, pattern, cut, sew and tack cover fabric.
6. Demonstrate familiarity of upholstery terminology and techniques.
7. Identify types of upholstery sewing machines.
8. Demonstrate upholstery industry safety.
REQUIRED TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. Identify tools and equipment necessary for upholstery job.
II. Remove fabrics and materials from upholstery item
III. Repair or replace wood parts, springs
