  Course Description:Continues the development of consecutive interpretation skills from TRI 201 Consecutive Interpretation I, with more focus on the quality of the rendition. Skills on note-taking, focused listening, and coping mechanisms in the interpretation of difficult texts are further emphasized as students advance. The complexity of vocabulary used and the length of utterance are increased.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 1. Demonstrate the understanding of the basics of research required to prepare for assignments.
 2. Demonstrate consecutive interpreting skills in legal and community settings.
 3. Interpret consecutive statements without loss of details, or intent of the message.
 4. Exhibit fluency in the delivery of consecutive interpretation mode while effectively using notes as an aid.
 5. Practice the expanded skills for a more professional delivery of consecutive interpretation.
