 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Understand and evaluate advanced principles of improvisation.
         A.      Review and practice basic techniques of improvisation.
 II.     Review and practice improvisation methods of Spolin, Atkins and ¿Second City¿.
         A.      Analyze and demonstrate understanding of space dislocation.
 III.    Analyze and demonstrate understand of symbol in sound to express meaning.
 IV.     Analyze, evaluate and apply elements of Dramatic Structure and Theatrical Communications techniques.
 V.      Compose, create and compile a series of advanced improvisations in performance.
 VI.     Analyze and apply theatrical methods of performance.
 VII.    Analyze creative problems and apply solutions in utilizing stage properties and costumes in performance.
 VIII.   Demonstrate open, effective stage communication skills.
 IX.     Demonstrate understanding of communication concepts and safety issues in improvisation.
 X       Participate in an improvisational performance for the public.
 XI.     Participate in evaluation, analysis and discussion of public performance.
