STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Discuss and review aspects of stage makeup design theory as applied to the human face.
2. Analyze various methods of creating facial prosthetics and corresponding hair designs.
3. Explore and demonstrate knowledge of sculptural materials and mold-making for facial prosthetics through the creation of a series of designs in wounds, gashes, skin conditions and colors, protrusions and other disfigurements.
4. Demonstrate techniques of prosthetics, special effects, wig and facial hair methods through the creation of a makeup special effects portfolio.
