  Course Description:Continues to explore basic acting techniques and approaches including scene study, improvisation, and intermediate script analysis. It includes practical application through classroom performance.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Apply exercises in relaxation, concentration, imagination and specificity to the acting process.
 II.     Demonstrate advanced proficiency in exercises.
 III.    Apply appropriate exercises to specific problems in acting process.
 IV.     Demonstrate advanced ability to use key tools of actor¿s process.
 V.      Use repetition.
 VI.     Use observation.
 VII.    Use listening.
 VIII.   Imagine and use objective or motive.
 IX.     Demonstrate independent activity.
 X       Demonstrate living truthfully in imaginary circumstances.
 XI.     Imagine and demonstrate high stakes in imaginary situations.
 XII.    Identify and use specifics of character, relationship to other characters, and circumstances of dramatic situation to create a believable imaginary environment:  the actor¿s primary responsibility.
 XIII.   Use repetition and process of improvisation as a means of understanding the acting process.

 XXII.   Imagine and create the world of the text through advanced scene study with an acting partner.

 XXIV.   Apply text and character analysis, exercises and improvisation to building scene with partner.
 XXV.    Produce scene.
