 I.      Understand the social and aesthetic influences on theatre architecture and stage design.
 II.     Identify great architects and designers in theatre history.
 III.    Know the concepts and theories of scenic design and architecture.
 IV.     Describe materials and methods involved in scenic design.
 V.      Apply the cultural and historical influences to modern design.
 VI.     Create design projects that demonstrate the variety of modern elements of design.

 I.      Cultural contexts of theatre architecture and design
         A.      Understand the cultural influences on theatre architecture and stage design in the notable historical and pre-history periods,.
         B.      Discern the cultural evolution and transitional phases of physical theatre features.
         C.      Distinguish between the great periods, architects and designers in the evolution of technical theatre.
 II.     Theories, styles, methods, and materials of theatre architecture and design.
         A.      Describe the concepts and theories of theatre architects, designers, and theoreticians throughout history.
         B.      Characterize the styles of the influential figures and their innovations in periods of technical theatre and design history.
         C.      Describe the materials and methods historically used in scenic construction and implementation.,
 III.    Modern areas of technical theatre.
         A.      Describe the aspects of modern scenery and paint, properties, costume/make-up, lighting, and sound.
         B.      Understand the consistency, unity, and integration of these elements of modern technical theatre.
