  Course Description:Introduces students to the profession of Social Work and Social Welfare. Students will be presented with an historical and conceptual overview of the social welfare system in the United States. Attention is given to the milieu within which social, political, economic, racial and cultural forces have interacted in the evolution of social welfare.
