  Course Description:Designed to build upon concepts and practices learned in SVT160 and expose current and prospective motorcycle mechanics to basic motorcycle maintenance and repair. Focus will be placed on routine and preventative maintenance. Topics covered will study of motorcycle frame, suspension, tire and wheels. One objective is to make the learner more familiar with mechanical concepts and more confident in their own ability. Course study may be tailored for each student's specific area of need or interest.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Safely work in a shop environment.
 II.     Identify, inspect and maintain motorcycle tires
 III.    Inspect motorcycle wheels for damage and condition.
 IV.     Inspect frames for damage.
 V.      Inspect suspension components for damage.
 VI.     Identify suspension components.
 VII.    Identify proper suspension repair techniques.
 VIII.   Remove wheels from a motorcycle for repair.
 IX.     Repair a tubeless motorcycle tire.
 X       Perform minor repair projects.
