Course Description: | Designed to bridge beginning SPA courses with intermediate SPA courses. It is designed for students who have studied two years of the target language in high school and possess linguistic and cultural knowledge that true beginners do not, but are not ready yet to move to the intermediate level because they need an in-depth review of essential structures. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. The student at the novice-mid level should be able to:
1. Comprehensibly reproduce the pronunciation and intonation of the foreign language.
2. Understand simple oral statements, instructions, and questions on everyday situations.
3. Apply learned vocabulary, phrases, and grammatical structures to express personal ideas on everyday topics in oral exchanges.
4. Accurately use vocabulary and grammatical structures in simple descriptions and narratives.
