Course Description: | Introduces the student to advanced techniques required for backcountry ski/snowboard guiding. This course will introduce students to the tools used when guiding and instructing on alpine routes. It will also cover technical descents, management and movement of multiple clients, and small team rescues. Emphasis is placed on managing risks and maximizing client rewards. |

1. Identify and apply IFMGA and AMGA standards and certifications to the business of guiding and coursework
2. Create a ski/snowboarding mountaineering resume

4. Demonstrate proper guide level map reading and basic orienteering skills as they relate to making business guiding decisions
5. Identify and plan destination ski/snowboarding guided trips
