STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Describe the application, use and maintenance of customary patrol equipment
II. Define customary patrol duties including sweep, area closures, accident
III. investigation and avalanche rescue
IV. Describe current lift evacuation methods and procedures
V. Discuss current avalanche hazard identification methods and control techniques
VI. Apply risk management principles as applied to patrol operations
VII. Discuss budget development issues
VIII. Discuss management of patrol interface with other agencies, including but not limited to the USFS, local sheriff and search & rescue teams, and air ambulances.
IX. Discuss patrol human asset issues
