STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Produce professional-quality cable TV programming in the studio and on-location including storyboarding, taping, editing, segment production and distribution to cable broadcast.
II. Utilize teamwork (as part of a production team, studio and on-location crew member), leadership skills, responsibility, professionalism, hospitality and protocol to guests and public at location shoots, work with other campus groups, basic studio etiquette, respect for self and others,
III. Practice protocols, such as gaining approvals, access, crowd control, cooperation with local law enforcement and other authorities, etc.
IV. Apply basic budgeting considerations, procure partnerships, donations and sponsorships
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. -Standard roles, procedures, commands and competencies of studio and on-location crew and cast members
II. -¿Real world¿ application of standard procedures, protocols, and techniques of video studio and field production
III. -Analyzing and confidence monitoring of program audio and video in studio and out; engineer¿s considerations
IV. -Setting up of studio and remote video shooting sets and equipment; safety and best practices
V. -¿Real world¿ application of video lighting equipment for technical and aesthetic video needs
VI. -Procurement, logging, safe storage and inserting of roll-in footage into a live broadcast
