STANDARD COMPETENCIES:

 

         A.      Complete the required number of hours at the internship location.  Observe and\or participate in the operations of the following functions as applicable to educational and instructional production.

                 1.      floor manager and lighting

                 2.      video & editing department

                 3.      technical control operations

                 4.      studio camera operation

                 5.      master control operations

                 6.      graphics/art departments

                 7.      audio control

                 8.      set construction

                 9.      Lab assistant duties and any other professional activities assigned by the internship supervisor. (I)

         B.      Attend applicable meetings. (I)

         C.      Complete weekly written progress reports. (II)

         D.      Complete required evaluation paper on the entire internship experience. (II) The student will secure or be assigned a specific work station location (PPCC TV lab, LRC media center) with the instructor`s approval.

 TOPICAL OUTLINE:
