STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Write and produce a commercial script for production (I)
II. Support of classmates productions in camera use and equipment use as directed. (I)
III. Direction procedures to support classmates production. (I)
IV. Act as Interviewer/Interviewee/director for interview production (II)
V. Understand proper format and change of camera locations for Interview production (II)
VI. Development of shot sheet and script for 3 minute still production (III)
VII. Act as the technical director and director for the production (III)
VIII. Design and format a 15:00 minute production (III)
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. The student will understand basic operations of a television production studio.
II. The student will plan and format a commercial, in studio interview, and 3 minute still production using available equipment
III. UNIT I
A. Develop, rehearse and produce a :60 second commercial using basic shots and commands
IV. UNIT II
A. Act as the director, interviewer, and interviewee in an interview production in support of classmates production.
V. UNIT III
A. Development and producer responsibilities for a 3 minute still production. Create the shot sheets and directors commands to include sound and narration. Design and execute a 15:00 video production.
