STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate course information competency with an exam on satellite communication systems. (I)
II. Demonstrate course information competency with an exam on satellite technical classifications and equipment. (II)
III. Demonstrate course information competency with an exam on earth station planning and design and FCC rules and procedures. (III)
IV. Write a research paper investigating satellite services, equipment and operations. (III)
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. The student will receive instruction in Satellite Communications systems including radio and television
II. The student will receive instruction on satellite technical classifications and equipment.
III. The student will receive instruction in earth station planning and design as well as FCC rules and procedures. Also in earth station operation and maintenance as well as satellite services.
