STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Explain the proper procedure for research and development of scripts (I)
II. Discuss the use and operation of control room and studio equipment (I)
III. Application of audio, and composition, for video productions (I)
IV. Demonstrate lighting techniques (II)
V. Analyze the different production formats (II)
VI. Demonstrate studio and field shooting (II)
VII. Examine advanced effects and video switching operations (III)
VIII. Analyze the different international formats (III)
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. The student will understand the basic operation of a television production studio.
II. The student will also demonstrate their basic knowledge of local television productions.
III. UNIT I
A. Basic techniques to development of script and copy, and propose of equipment for television production
IV. UNIT II
A. The student will evaluate a local television production and through testing understand the nomenclature and purpose for camera shots, lighting, audio, and studio direction.
V. UNIT III
A. The student will understand advanced effects and it¿s purposes and the different video formats, and the conversion for different international formats used in the industry.
