Course work includes rotations at medical facilities under the supervision of preceptors. STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. The Primary intent of the course will be a continuation of the RCA 284 Internship in where a Respiratory Care/EMS-Intermediate student with Respiratory care and EMS experience and place him/her into a hospital setting and ambulance setting so, that with the help of repetitive performance of basic respiratory therapy procedures, and EMS procedures, combined with preceptor feedback, the student will develop into an individual who can begin to manifest the cognitive and noncognitve characteristics distinctive of a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner and Certified EMT-Intermediate.
II. The student will continue development of basic skills and procedures through practice and understanding.
III. Continue to improve on patient assessment skills, critical reasoning skills and clinical judgment abilities
IV. Continue to Develop professional affective skills.
V. Experience diverse set of learning outcomes and diverse set of experiences in the clinical setting.
