I. WEEK 1-3 .
A. Principles of Aerosol/Humidity/Nebulizer Therapy
II. WEEK 4-8
A. Hand Resuscitators
B. Description, complications, importance, and different types of airway use for adults and pediatric patients.
C. Understand the accepted methods of Tracheal bronchial suctioning, hazards, equipment setup and performance of proper procedure.
III. WEEK 9-12
A. Identification and use of various types of bedside spirometers used in respiratory care.
B. Instruction and demonstration of various techniques to remove retained secretion with use of postural drainage and percussion.
IV. WEEK 13-15
A. Description and demonstration of understanding of the equipment, procedures and operation of IPPB.
B. Presentation and instruction of sterilization and isolation procedures.
