STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Identify psychiatric needs/concerns common to children/adolescents and developmentally disabled individuals.
II. Demonstrate use of appropriate individual and group therapeutic interventions with clients.
III. Identify and apply basic concepts of appropriate milieu management in caring for clients.
IV. Accurately document and clearly report client behaviors and care given according to protocols of clinical setting.
V. Identify and apply ethical and legal concepts specific to working with children/adolescents and developmentally disabled individuals, with emphasis on client advocacy.
