STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Identify etiological factors related to psychiatric disorders experienced by children/adolescents and developmentally disabled individuals.
II. List symptoms of the psychiatric disorders common to children/adolescents and developmentally disabled individuals.
III. Describe individual, group and milieu interventions appropriate for children/adolescents and developmentally disabled individuals.
IV. Identify personal characteristics that enable one to work effectively with children/adolescents and developmentally disabled individuals.
V. Describe legal and ethical concepts pertinent to working with children/adolescents and developmentally disabled individuals.
