STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Compare historical and contemporary views on what constitutes abuse within a culture.
II. Describe individual and societal risk factors for becoming a victim or a perpetrator in a variety of relationships.
III. Analyze a variety of cases of abuse including the following relationships: caregiver-child, caregiver-elder, partner, other familial, educational, and occupational.
IV. Identify and discuss biosocial, cognitive, and psychosocial factors contributing to abuse.
