Course Description: | Apply and build on concepts learned in PSP 117, students will adapt basic body blocks. Using ½ scale and full scale bodice blocks students will learn how to create collars and cowls. Skirt blocks will be adapted for different skirt styles. Sleeve variations will be covered, as well as bodice/sleeve combinations. Other design details will be covered including buttons, buttonholes, facings, plackets, pockets.

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Manipulate basic bodice blocks for collar and cowl variations
2. Draft collar designs
3. Use skirt blocks for skirt design variation
4. Manipulate bodice and sleeve blocks for design combinations
5. Draft facings, Plackets and pockets
6. Mark patterns for buttons and buttonholes
7. Apply correct pattern labels
8. Draft pattern to meet design specifications
9. Test fit pattern design
10. Construct final design in fashion fabric
