Course Description: | Offers students the ability to use computer machines, software, and the internet to stitch out embroidery designs on different projects. Different models of software and machines are available which offers students experience before making consumer decisions. After inputting designs into the computer, students learn to digitize embrodiery designs. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Set up embroidery unit and thread the machine correctly.
II. Select a design and entered it into the machine.
III. Hoop the fabric correctly with a suitable stabilizer.
IV. Stitch at least three different projects using the appropriate needles, threads, and finishing techniques.
V. Download a design from the internet, edit it, and move it to a embroidery machine to stitch out.
VI. Describe the basics of digitizing and create and stitch a simple design using software.
VII. Identify ways of laundering and taking care of embroidery designs.
