Course Description: | Learn techniques using flat pattern method to create patterns for menswear garments. Pattern development based on either the personal or standard-size body measurements. Pattern drafting techniques are used to develop basic pattern blocks. Students will adapt basic pattern blocks for further menswear designs and patterns. |

1. Explain the difference between a commercial pattern and drafted pattern.
2. Discuss what qualities make a successful business.
3. Analyze the figure type and make any needed alternations.
4. Draft scale patterns of basic neckwear.
5. Draft scale patterns of body wear.
6. Draft caftan and kimono in scale.
7. Draft scale and full size pattern of knit shirt.
8. Draft scale and full size pattern of pants.
