Course Description: | Introduces the student to useful plants of the Fall season not seen in earlier Survival Plants classes, as well as a review of botany learned in earlier classes. Students will continue learning wild food preparation, cooking and preservation (dehydration). They will experiment with various wild plant food combinations, wild plant spices and flavorings. In addition, fire starters both primitive and modern will be discussed and practiced (weather permitting). Natural tenders, friction fires and fire bundles will be covered. |

1. Review survival plants I, II, III classes
2. Identify the of new useful wild plants in Fall
3. Prepare, cook, and preserve wild plant foods of the Fall
4. Recognize how to combine wild edible plants
5. Prepare wild spices and flavorings pf edible plants
6. Practice using natural firestarters
7. Discover the use of natural tenders
8. Practive friction fire methods
9. Create and utilize natural fire bundles
