  Course Description:Provides an in-depth OSHA certification course for the construction industry and participants will review the current OSHA standards contained in 29 CFR 1926. Participants that complete the course will receive a certificate of completion from the United States Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The course is taught by instructors certified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      USING THE OSHA REGULATIONS, 29 CFR 1926
         A.      Apply OSHA Regulation to selected safety hazards.
         B.      Describe the difference between a vertical and a horizontal safety standard.
         C.      Utilize the OSHA regulations to define appropriate abatement procedures.
         D.      Utilize OSHA regulations to supplement safety programs.
         E.      Utilize both the Subpart and the subject index to locate appropriate regulations.
         F.      Identify the most common OSHA violations in each major subpart.
         G.      Demonstrate understanding of the Department of Labor identification system.
         H.      Interpret OSHA regulations to identify the major safety hazards in each subpart of 29 CFR 1926.
         I.      Identify OSHA training requirements for various subparts of 29 CFR 1926.
