Course Description: | Covers basic instruction in ophthalmic surgery and focuses on principles and techniques of scrubbing and assisting in ophthalmic surgery. Operating Room set-up and organization is reviewed, as is disinfection,and sterilization, asepsis and sterile technique. Various suture materials are reviewed, and special attention is given to the care of microsurgical instruments. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
