STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Complete NNAAP-Nurse Aide Practice Exam.
2. Exhibit knowledge regarding physical care skills: activities of daily living, basic nursing skills and restorative skills. Psychosocial care skills: emotional and mental health needs spiritual and cultural needs. The role of the nurse aide.
3. Demonstrate fundamental competency in the 24 critical skills outlined in the Colorado Nurse Aide Candidate Handbook.
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
1. To complete State of Colorado Certification by Examination Application.
2. Submission of State of Colorado Certification by Examination Application and examination fee to instructor.
3. Complete NNAAP-Nurse Aide Practice Exam.
