STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of birds in the ecosystem.
II. Demonstrate familiarity with the terminology used in ornithology.
III. Demonstrate familiarity with the evolution of birds and the theories of origin of flight.
IV. Demonstrate an understanding of the unique physiology, reproductive characteristics and behaviors of birds.
V. Define the objectives of habitat management for birds for a sustainable and healthy ecosystem.
