 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Analyze natural resource data.
 II.     Demonstrate familiarity with computer lab operation.
 III.    Demonstrate correct file management and rescue with DOS.
 IV.     Demonstrate communication methods with a text editor.
 V.      Use a spreadsheet to analyze natural resource data.
 VI.     Use relational databases to analyze natural resource data.
 VII.    Predict tree volumes from basal area, height and diameter measurements.
 VIII.   Demonstrate linear measurement techniques.
 IX.     Distinguish between qualifying and quantifying observed measurement.
 X       Demonstrate creation and utilization of metadata.
 XI.     Demonstrate the utilization of measurement and mapping units.
 XII.    Contrast and compare mistakes versus error.
 XIII.   Define errors: natural, instrumental, personal, calculations, systematic, and random.
