  Course Description:Provides an overview of the Wildlife Laws and regulations in the United Sates. Students examine the many methods of wild life management, law enforcement, and forensics in this field.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Discuss historical perspective of wildlife management, highlights of Wildlife management, and the role of law enforcement in management.
 II.     Research and discuss: Game wardens/ Responsibilities, Professional qualifications/ Duties, The uniform/ Self defense, Personal liability/ The official automobile, Pursuit driving/ Consent search, and The rights of the officer/ public relations and speaking.
 III.    Research and discuss: Crimes on federal lands, Agricultural crimes, Theft of heavy equipment/ Marijuana in national forests, and the Overuse of nations recreation areas.
 IV.     Research and discuss: Firearms selection and training, Post-shooting and trauma policy, and Defensive tactics and intermediate-weapon training.
 V.      Compare the tenth amendment, Federal laws and regulations, and Federal versus State regulations.
 VI.     Discuss coverage of the fourth amendment, the sixth and fourteenth amendment, search and seizure, and Self-incrimination and rights of private citizens.
 VII.    Research and discuss origins of on-reservation hunting & fishing, tribal regulations of hunting & fishing, and State and federal regulations of hunting & fishing.
