STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate an understanding of the ecological effects of a fire.
II. Demonstrate familiarity with the terminology used in fire science.
III. Demonstrate familiarity with fire as a chemical reaction, fir behavior and historical fire regime.
IV. Demonstrate an understanding of the evolutionary response to fire, and the tolerance of plants and animals to fire.
V. Define the objectives of fire management for a sustainable and healthy ecosystem
