Required Course Learning Outcomes:
REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING
1. Recognize terminology, specific facts, and general concepts related to the history, ecology, evolution, and management of wildlife in Colorado.
2. Describe different habitat types of Colorado and how they relate to the biogeography of species.
3. Demonstrate familiarity with Colorado native birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and fish including distribution, life-cycle, status, signs (tracks, scat), and taxonomy.
4. Identify specific adaptions that Colorado wildlife species have for feeding, locomotion, and survival in extreme environments.
5. Demonstrate the ability to recognize animals by tracks, scat, and skull specimens.
6. Apply survey techniques for presence or absence of species of different taxa.
