STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Develop an understanding of basic ecological principles including ecosystems, energy flow, material cycling, food chains and webs, limits of tolerance, interactions between species and within species, distribution of species, succession, and population and community dynamics.
II. Recognize terminology, specific facts, experimental methodologies, and general concepts related to the history, ecology, evolution, and management of wildlife in Colorado
III. Interpret wildlife data in a variety of formats, such as graphs, tables, and charts;
IV. Exhibit familiarity with Colorado native birds, insects, reptiles and amphibians, mammals and fish.
V. Apply the above concepts and demonstrate them in outdoor areas during field trips
