  Course Description:Presents theory and practical application dealing with different types of manicures, pedicures and massage techniques. Theory and practical application of procedures, products, nail shapes and maintenance of artificial nails is covered. Students learn to recognize different nail disorders and their proper treatment. Training is done in a specialized class or in supervised salon (clinical) setting, using models or customer service.

 1. Demonstrate the four natural nail shapes
 2. Demonstrate the proper use of implements, cosmetics, and materials used in manicuring and artificial nails
 3. Demonstrate the proper procedure and sanitary and safety precautions for a manicure and/or artificial nails
 4. Demonstrate massage techniques used when giving a manicure
 5. Demonstrate the different types of manicures
 6. Demonstrate intermediate artificial nail techniques and removal
 7. Demonstrate the procedure for pedicures
