 I.      Explain the reasons for 30CFR Part 70 Subparts A, B, C, D and E and 30CFR Part 71 Subparts A, B, C and D
 II.     Explain the terms and concepts used in the dust standard.
 III.    Explain the adverse affects dust has on the body.
 IV.     Explain why the presence of quartz is important in dust analysis.
 V.      Explain sampling requirements under the law.
 VI.     Explain reporting requirements under the law.
 VII.    Demonstrate the use of a dust pump.
 VIII.   Demonstrate and explain the selection and use of respiratory protective equipment used in surface and underground coal mining.
 IX.     Explain the purpose for 30CFR Part 62 ¿ Occupational Noise Exposure
 X       Define terms and concepts used in the noise standard.
 XI.     Explain the adverse affects of short-term and long-term noise exposure to the body.
 XII.    Explain at least one method of noise exposure assessment.
 XIII.   Develop a Hearing Conservation Plan for XYZ Coal Company.
 XIV.    Describe an audiometric test and when test must be conducted.
 XV.     Explain the training and record keeping requirements of Part 62.
 XVI.    Demonstrate the proper use of various hearing protectors.
