  Course Description:Concentrates on the high-end capabilities of Adobe Acrobat Professional software as a document conversion, presentation, form generation, secure document delivery, and press production tool. Students explore a wide range of techniques that can be applied to the web, graphics, interactive and presentation multimedia, commenting workflows, and print media. Adobe Acrobat Professional allows students to bridge the paper-to-digital divide¿simply, powerfully, and securely.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Examine the Adobe Acrobat Professional application and determine the relationship with other print, web, presentation, commenting, and multimedia applications.
 II.     Examine the differences between Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat Elements, Adobe Acrobat Standard, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Adobe Acrobat 3D.
 III.    Use Adobe Acrobat Professional to convert documents from the web or native application format to Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
 IV.     Create interactive documents and presentations combining simple animation, graphics, text and sound in Acrobat Professional and in combination with Adobe InDesign.
 V.      Create fillable forms Using Acrobat LiveCycle Forms for e-mail delivery and to add returned form data to an external spreadsheet for analysis. (Windows only).
 VI.     Use of commenting, markup and tracking tools in PDF document reviews.
 VII.    Use of print production tools for accurate press proofing, print production and creation of press ready PDFs.
 VIII.   Using Adobe Acrobat Professional to extend program functionality to users of Adobe Reader.
 IX.     Use Adobe Acrobat Professional to generate computer based, digitally secure documents.
 X       Use Adobe Acrobat Professional to organize, search, index, paginate, bookmark, and allow the use of assistive technology in PDF documents.
