II. Define terminology relevant to the graphic design and illustration field.
III. Summarize the origins and history of graphic design and illustration.

V. Develop an appreciation for professional contemporary design and illustration, their look and techniques.
VI. Demonstrate an understanding of the graphic design and illustration fields today, as well as the tools and media used.
