STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Demonstrate use of the CNC wire EDM machine controller.
2. Load, unload and manage programs in the CNC wire EDM machine controller and desktop computer.
3. Operate the CNC wire EDM machine.
4. Evaluate correctness of a G language program (G-code) in the CNC wire EDM machine.
5. Demonstrate successful adjustments to the CNC wire EDM machine controller.
6. Create a basic G-code program for the CNC wire EDM machine without the use of Computer-aided Manufacturing (CAM) software.
