STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Demonstrate navigation of the CNC wire EDM machine controller.
2. Identify common alarm codes for the CNC wire EDM machines and demonstrate how to clear them.
3. Summarize the history of CNC wire EDM machining.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of basic theory behind CNC wire EDM machine technology.
5. Differentiate the meaning of G programming language (G-code) particular to CNC wire EDM machines.
6. Compare and recognize differences between manual G-code and Computer-aided Design/Computer-aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) in the CNC wire EDM machine.
7. Recognize and Identify general components that are particular to CNC wire EDM machines.
8. Demonstrate maintenance on the CNC wire EDM machine.
9. Create a simple G-code program to run on the CNC wire EDM machine.
