1. Interpret the analysis of literary texts in various genres.
2. Explain historical and social contexts of literature and how they are reflected in the attitudes and values of specific eras and cultures.
3. Interpret literature in the context of individual authors’ biography and the critical reception of their work.
4. Discuss various issues of literary criticism including feminism and the debate over the development of the literary canon.
5. Identify the similarities and differences between the themes and values of different authors.
6. Develop ideas on the literature that are clearly and logically written using appropriate sources, evidence and documentation.
