 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 1. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of jewelry forms, processes, history and terminology.
 2. Apply the visual elements and the principles of design to create jewelry, using various media and  techniques including, beads, wire, and basic metal fabrication.
 3. Identify tools and components used to create jewelry throughout history, from ancient African to Modern designs.
 4. Utilize ancient jewelry design techniques such as wire weaving and chain-making, to demonstrate enhanced perception, creativity and self-expression.
 5. Assemble and assess a presentation of your work that demonstrates professionalism.
 6. Research and evaluate the social function of jewelry and jewelry artists in history and current society.
