STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Describe and analyze the auto, property, and liability loss exposures that individuals and families might face.
II. Describe the role of automobile insurance in today¿s society.
III. Identify the types of information typically contained on a declarations page for an auto policy and a homeowner¿s policy.
IV. Explain what is covered and what is limited or excluded under the various sections of the auto policy and the homeowner¿s policy.
V. Identify and describe typical financial planning objectives of individuals and families.
VI. Explain the purpose of personal financial planning and describe the steps involved.
VII. Describe the forms and purposes of each type of term life, cash-value, or permanent life insurance.
VIII. Identify and describe types of private health insurance providers.
IX. Explain the basic investment objective and describe the various factors and risks that must be considered when making investment decisions.
X Analyze various investment philosophies that involve equity investments such as common stock, real estate investments, tax-sheltered investments, options, and commodity futures.
